One of Warhol's superstar Viva's earliest feature films, and one of a small number where she was actually in a lead role, in this case playing herself.

"Producer/director/cinematographer Andy Warhol presents an afternoon in a Manhattan apartment where Viva and Louis discuss social issues while lying in bed. Louis makes sexual advances and Viva giggles; they indulge in sexual foreplay and then intercourse....

Very scarce set of large-format color photographs from this film (Herzog’s last pairing with Kinski, whose emotional outbursts continually threw the production into chaos) about a slave trader, filmed in Brazil, Colombia, and Brazil.

Lillian Harvey, British-born but brought up in Germany, became a sweetheart of German cinema in this, her first film. Opera trained, she would go on to film a series of operetta type movies in the era of the early talking films, including some in Hollywood.

Paul Richter as Siegfried presents Margaret Schon as Kriemhild with the circlet. Still has UFA 33 V imprinted at lower left and ink stamp of Foto UFA on the back. FINE.
