Edgar Bergin, along with some help from (though mostly distraction) Charlie McCarthy, is brought in to solve the murder of a crooked newspaper editor who has connections to the mob. Perhaps it was the absurdity of a ventriloquist's dummy as star, but, whatever it was, Universal was willing to go out on a limb and feature this highly unusual caricature depiction by the uniquely talented Jacques Kapralik. Kapralik's art begins to...

Vintage original 41 x 81" three sheet poster, USA. Iris Adrian, Frank Jenks, Douglas Fowley, Jack Raymond, dir: Albert Herman; Producers Releasing Corporation. In the story, she and her partner set out to help prove an accused embezzler of his innocence. Adrian started out in the chorus of films, worked her way into bits, supporting roles in A-films and leads in B-films. This, and many...
