The young Antoine Doinel (Leaud) and his best friend Rene Bigey (Patrick Auffay) as they prepare to steal a movie photo of the voluptuous Gianna Maria Canale in the well-known classic Theodora, Slave Empress.

This is the earliest image that I can think of in movie history that involves the collecting (well, in this case, that starts with stealing) of movie posters and photos. There are some minor signs of handling, with a few small marginal pinholes and creases, there...

ATLANTIQUE, LATITUDE 41° [A NIGHT TO REMEMBER] (1958)
ATLANTIQUE, LATITUDE 41° [A NIGHT TO REMEMBER] (1958) $1,500.00

Vintage original 30 x 46" (78 x 117 cm.) poster, France. Kenneth More, Ronald Allen, Robert Ayres, Honor Blackman, Anthony Bushell, dir: Roy Ward Baker; Rank Organisation. There have been several fine depictions on film of the epic tragedy of RMS Titanic, this one based on Walter Lord's definitive book. Even with the most recent epic film telling, critics still consider this "the definitive cinematic telling of the story," (Heyer 2012, p.104). Because many of the survivors were living when the book and film were made, exact accuracy could be achieved and the film was made in order of sequence.

However, he was enchanted by the group and instead sang their praises. Shortly afterwards, he was invited to meet The Beatles and soon became a trusted journalist in their circle.

A massive, self-standing object, unlike anything else that has ever turned up.

This standee has some general signs of use, including paper tape reinforcing it on the back, wear at areas where it was originally folded for shipment; the standee has five components with cardboard support bars (three...

BIRDMAN OF ALCATRAZ (1962) Screenplay by Guy Trosper / From the biography by Thomas E. Gaddis
BIRDMAN OF ALCATRAZ (1962) Screenplay by Guy Trosper / From the biography by Thomas E. Gaddis $1,250.00

Harold Hecht Productions, Inc., [earlier than July 1962]. [1],180 leaves. Quarto. Mimeographed typescript, brad-bound in printed wrappers.

An unspecified -- but certainly early -- draft of this adaptation to the screen of Gaddis' biography of Robert Stroud. The 3 July 1962 release, directed by John Frankenheimer, starred Burt Lancaster as Stroud, and with a release running time of 147 minutes suggests that extensive portions of this draft were cut in the revision process. An uncommon script for the multiple award-nominated film.

BIRDMAN OF ALCATRAZ was the first of a series of classic films directed by Frankenheimer, followed in short order by such...
