HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE [COMO SPOSARE UN MILIONARIO] (1953)
Vintage original 13 x 9" (33 x 23 cm.) watercolor sketch / poster maquette by Enzo Nistri, Italy.
For the original 4-fogli Italian poster for How to Marry a Millionaire, the Rome offices of 20th Century Fox commissioned Enzo Nistri to come up with a special design. The result was a captivating artwork of a young Marilyn Monroe in a tight green dress beckoning with her middle finger for the viewer to approach her. The actual poster is a supremely rare (and if found, supremely expensive) example of post-WWII film poster art (we have attached an example of it -- note that we do not have the actual poster for sale, and don't know if we ever will find one).
