ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS (1955)

$0.00

Vintage original 36 x 14" (91 x 36 cm.) insert poster, USA. Rock Hudson, Jane Wyman, dir: Douglas Sirk; Universal. One of Douglas Sirk's greatest melodramas, the story of an unlikely romantic pairing between a prosperous widow with a handsome younger gardener who reads Thoreau -- and the discord which ensues, because neither the lady's family nor friends can accept either the difference in social class or in age.

A massively influential film, which was directly remade both by Fassbinder (All Fear Eats the Soul) and Toddy Haynes (Far from Heaven). Douglas Sirk was one of Rock Hudson's mentors during his years as a young actor just then attaining stardom.

Uncommon poster, but particularly so if found unfolded. Unfolded, with minor darkening at lower bottom, one diagonal crease near bottom, NEAR FINE.
