[New York, Realart Pictures Corporation, 1919]. Vintage original 10 x 8″ (25 x 20 cm.) black-and-white print still photo. Coded “RPC 1-2”. Ink stamped on verso “Mary Miles Minter starring for Realart Pictures Corporation”, and their New York City address. 

This lovely rare and early portrait is most likely for her first film for Realart, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, filmed on the East Coast and her first film directed by William Desmond Taylor. She had been working on stage and in film since the age of 5. She was 17 at the time of this portrait.
