DR. STRANGELOVE | MISS FOREIGN AFFAIRS [1964] Set of 5 photos by Bob Penn

$1,500.00

[Los Angeles: Columbia Pictures, 1964]. Set of five vintage original black-and-white photos, all with stamps on verso of Stanley Kubrick’s production company and photographer Bob Penn, just about fine.

  • Four 7 3/4 x 9 1/2″ (20 x 24.5 cm) borderless photos.
  • One 13 7/8 x 10 7/8″ (35.5 x 27.5 cm) borderless double weight photo.

Actress Tracy Reed in the role of Miss Foreign Affairs, the mistress of General “Buck” Turgidson, from Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 dark satire Dr. Strangelove. She has the only female role in the entire film and is principally seen in one scene: when she answers the phone while Turgidson is in the bathroom. She is also momentarily seen as the “Miss Foreign Affairs” centerfold in the June 1962 issue of Playboy magazine being read by Major T.J. “King” Kong (Slim Pickens) in the B-52.

This is an extremely scarce set of photos, and I cannot recall having ever previously seen any images of her from this film.
