HER SECOND CHANCE (1926) Lobby card

Vintage original 11 x 14″ (28 x 35 cm.) title lobby card, USA. Anna Q. Nilsson, Huntley Gordon, Charles Murray, Sam De Grasse, dir: Lamber Hillyer; First National Picture. The story of a wild Kentucky mountain girl (played by Swedish-born Anna Quirentia Nilsson) who, once out of reform school for having shot a trespasser on her land, comes back home, changes her identity, and vows vengeance on the judge who put her away.

Though Anna Q. looks quite tough silhouetted against her colorful collage background, it is good she did not need speak into a microphone for her characterization. A few years later, she would face career peril when that was required.

Remarkable period art, with strong hand-coloring. NEAR FINE.
