Vintage original 17 x 13 ” (42 x 34 cm.) [23 x 20″ (57 x 50 cm.) with mat] costume sketch, USA. Costume designer Michael Travis has presented two eccentric men’s costumes for a sketch on the now classic sketch-comedy show LAUGH-IN for series regulars Dick Martin and Dennis Allen. Allen was featured in 50 shows during the 1970-72 seasons.
The “#13” may relate to the episode number. Accomplished in mixed media. Sketch is on art paper and professionally mounted and double-matted. The over-matting is a bit loose. Travis served as series costumer between 1968-71. Rarely do original pieces for the production of this classic show appear for sale. Signed at bottom right by Travis. This sketch is in remarkable condition. FINE.
