Thanks to the carelessness of a cute little dog, newlyweds Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin are killed in a freak auto accident. Upon arriving in the outer offices of Heaven, the couple finds that, thanks to a century's worth of bureaucratic red tape, they're on a long celestial waiting list. With a two page call sheet and two pages of faxes (concerning roles being cast for this film) laid-in. A little bit of smudging to wrappers, a bit of creasing to script, some wear to the two pages of faxes, overall just about fine in near fine wrappers. With the name and address of an actor who played the role of "Sad Man" written on front wrapper, and...

BIG LEBOWSKI, THE (1998)

Vintage original 74 x 131" (188 x 333 cm.) standee poster, USA. Jeff Bridges, dir: Joel and Ethan Coen; Gramercy. The only poster I've ever seen which shows the film's major characters: The Dude (Jeff Bridges), The Stranger (Sam Elliott); Maude (Julianne Moore); Donny (Steve Buscemi), Jesus (John Turturro), and Walter (John Goodman). A massive, self-standing object, unlike anything else that has ever turned up.

This standee has some general signs of use, including paper tape reinforcing it on the back, wear at areas where it was originally folded for shipment; the standee has five components with cardboard support bars (three...

Denoted a "shooting script" of Tom Stoppard's adaptation of J.G. Ballard's award-winning book, for which he received sole screen credit. Shooting ended in early June, and the December 1987 release was directed by Steven Spielberg, starred Christian Bale, John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson, Nigel Havers, et al, and received six Academy Award nominations.

FLY, THE [LA MOSCA] (1986)
FLY, THE [LA MOSCA] (1986) $300.00

Set of eight (8) vintage original 18 x 26" (45 x 65 cm.) fotobusta posters, Italy. Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis, John Getz, dir: David Cronenberg: Twentieth Century Fox.

The truism is that remakes of movies are inferior to the originals -- but not in this case! The original version, starring Vincent Price, is a bit of a mid-century cult classic. But clearly the Cronenberg remake is a vastly superior film.

This set of large-scale images evoke the drama and terror evoked by this movie. These were stored rolled and never folded nor used. Minor center crease and ding at center top from...

KING OF COMEDY, THE (1983) Final draft script by Paul D. Zimmerman, ca. 1981 $1,250.00

Les Lazarowitz (sound mixer) (Original vintage screenplay for the 1983 film) Los Angeles, CA: Twentieth Century-Fox, ca. 1981.

Final Draft script for the 1983 film. Copy belonging to sound mixer Les Lazarowitz, with his holograph name to the title page. Noted as copy No. 78 in green holograph ink at the top right corner of same.

Perhaps Scorsese's most underrated film, The King of Comedy is a brilliant study of celebrity worship and American media culture by way of an exploratory journey into the mind of Rupert Pupkin, a man totally lacking in self-awareness, driven only by obsession. The titular character is...

Photographically-reproduced typescript, printed on rectos only of white, green, yellow, blue and rose stock. Brad-bound in printed studio wrappers. Titled label taped across spine, but very good or better.

Denoted a "revised final draft" of the script for this comedy, but with a rainbow of inserted revises spanning the three months noted above. Peter O'Toole memorably played the role of Alan Swann, which was based on Errol Flynn. The character of the young writer, Benjamin Stone, was based on Mel Brooks who,...
