ANDY WARHOL'S BAD (1977)
ANDY WARHOL'S BAD (1977) $250.00 SOLD

Set of six (6) 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm.) vintage original photos, USA. Carroll Baker, Perry King, Susan Tyrrell, Geraldine Smith, dir: Jed Johnson; New World Pictures. Baker plays "Hazel," a vicious beautician who has a sideline of providing ruthless women to do hit jobs. Although this film is not as well known as the earlier Warhol-produced films directed by Paul Morrissey, it is actually one of the funniest, and nastiest of all the films with Warhol's name on them.

All of the six photos have been neatly mounted on art board and matted in 11 x...

One of Warhol's superstar Viva's earliest feature films, and one of a small number where she was actually in a lead role, in this case playing herself.

ANDY WARHOL'S LONESOME COWBOYS (1968) / EXHIBITOR'S PRESS MANUAL
ANDY WARHOL'S LONESOME COWBOYS (1968) / EXHIBITOR'S PRESS MANUAL $0.00 SOLD

Printed wrappers, 11 x 8" (28 x 21.6 cm.), USA. This rather langorous film, with Viva, Taylor Mead, Joe Dalleasandro, Lou Waldon, Eric Emerson, and various other Warhol Factory members, had clear homoerotic gay overtones, and was a transition to the series of films directed entirely by Paul Morrisey, which were to follow within a couple of years.

Very scarce pressbook for Warhol's Western spoof, which was a very important early movie for Dallesandro, who would shortly become a Warhol superstar. 8 pp., with a few stamps of a film distributor, overall ABOUT FINE.

BIG LEBOWSKI, THE (1998)

Vintage original 74 x 131" (188 x 333 cm.) standee poster, USA. Jeff Bridges, dir: Joel and Ethan Coen; Gramercy. The only poster I've ever seen which shows the film's major characters: The Dude (Jeff Bridges), The Stranger (Sam Elliott); Maude (Julianne Moore); Donny (Steve Buscemi), Jesus (John Turturro), and Walter (John Goodman). A massive, self-standing object, unlike anything else that has ever turned up.

This standee has some general signs of use, including paper tape reinforcing it on the back, wear at areas where it was originally folded for shipment; the standee has five components with cardboard support bars (three...

CHAINED FOR LIFE (1951)
CHAINED FOR LIFE (1951) $450.00 SOLD

Complete set of eight (8) vintage original 11 x 14" (28 x 35 cm.) lobby cards, USA. Violet Hilton, Daisy Hilton, Mario Laval, Allen Jenkins, Patricia Wright, Robert Keys, dir: Harry L. Fraser; Classic Pictures.

A very unusual crime melodrama due to the unique characters and players of the story. A Siamese twin kills her sister's slimy boyfriend. When a court convicts her of murder, the fate of her conjoined sister must be decided. A vehicle for the Hilton sisters, the film contained many vaudeville routines and songs. The girls became widely known after their 1932 appearance in the Tod Browning...

COVER GIRL KILLER (1959) $275.00 SOLD

Vintage original 27 x 41" (68 x 102 cm.) one sheet poster, USA. Harry H. Corbett, Felicity Young, Spencer Teakle, Victor Brooks, Bernadette Milnes, dir: Terry Bishop, Eros Films/FanFare Films.

American poster (dated 1960) for this UK-made exploitation crime thriller. The poster's by-line really says all that needs to be said about the film. It is the story of bikini wearing pin-ups who end up dead in the exact same poses that they are featured in on the cover of Wow! magazine. A madman IS on the loose! A cult film of this genre. Folded, FINE.

One of the most famous groundbreaking films of all time, and one of the films which broke down the walls of the legion of decency Production Code, which had influenced the way films had been made for more than 30 years. It was the theme and the suggestion which had the office up in arms. Though there was no nudity, the film broke many taboos and made way for the...

JACK SMITH / 'I WAS A MEKAS COLLABORATOR' (1979)
JACK SMITH / 'I WAS A MEKAS COLLABORATOR' (1979) $2,500.00 SOLD

Vintage original 13 x 13" (33 x 33 cm.) poster, USA, for a multimedia show created by the legendary Jack Smith (1932-1989), director of such underground films as Flaming Creatures, and belatedly recognized as one of the creators of performance art.

After Flaming Creatures was premiered, Smith and others (including Jonas Mekas, who was in so many ways the godfather of the then-new American underground film movement) were jailed for obscenity, and a lengthy -- and miserable -- legal process ensued. Mekas believed that Smith's flamboyant wildness would be disastrously received in a courtroom, and tried to find an alternative resolution....

JEAN SEBERG / SAINT JOAN [SAINTE JEANNE] (1957) + BONJOUR TRISTESSE (1958)
JEAN SEBERG / SAINT JOAN [SAINTE JEANNE] (1957) + BONJOUR TRISTESSE (1958) $250.00 SOLD
