MAE WEST (1937) Paramount stamped portrait

Sold

Vintage original 8 x 10” (20 x 25 cm.) black and white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. A truly lovely portrait of the post production code Mae West during her last days at Paramount. For 5 years she had leant her brilliant sense of comedy to the roster of films Paramount offered. She would freelance for a few more years and then go back to the stage. This portrait, P1446-484 of her in contemporary fur and hairstyle most likely promoted her 1937 release, EVERY DAY’S A HOLIDAY. Very minor handling. Ink stamp on back reads, “Mae West in Paramount Pictures.” ABOUT FINE.
