Vintage original 8 x 10” (20 x 25 cm.) black and white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. The Four Marx Brothers (Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Zeppo), Margaret Dumont, Kay Francis, dir: Robert Florey, Joseph Santley: Paramount. The zany Marx Brothers run a hotel during the Florida land boom. Their first feature film together, the film was adapted from their hit Broadway show written by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind. Not having ventured to Hollywood yet, the film was shot at Paramount’s Kaufman Astoria Studio in Queens New York. It is coded 192-52 on bottom left and F5-52 on bottom right. Photo has pin holes and creases at four margin corners and into top corners of the image. Creasing and soil along the blank white margins. Chip at lower left corner VERY GOOD-FINE.
