During her earliest days as an MGM contract starlet, Ava Gardner (who was learning the ropes by playing bit parts in a number of films) was whisked off to a Santa Monica beach to pose for a variety of beach portraits, proving popular with servicemen at the time. Original printed blurb on verso states that Ava will appear in a Kay Kyser picture soon.
