FRANCES RAFFERTY at MGM (1942) Set of 2 oversized pin-up & character photos

$150.00

[Los Angeles]: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1942. Set of two vintage original 10 x 13″ (25 x 32 cm.) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin photos. Each has ink number stamps on verso as well as typed blurb. Minor edge wear, near fine.

MGM was promoting youthful dancer Frances Rafferty to star status in 1942, as can be seen in these pin-up and character portraits. After supporting roles in A films, she became leading lady in a few B films and transitioned early into television where she had success into the 1960s.

Both of these portraits, including one in which she wears the latest bathing suit of 1942, are to promote her appearance in Seven Sweethearts.
