Ingmar Bergman’s LESSON IN LOVE [EN LEKTION I KARLEK] (1954) Set of 14 photos
Set of 14 vintage original double weight 9 ¼ x 11 ¾” (24 x 31 cm.) photos, Sweden. Gunnar Bjornstrand, Eva Dahlbeck, Harriet Andersoon, dir: Ingmar Bergman; Svensk Filmindustri. An early Bergman comedy, about the vicissitudes of marriage—after 15 years together, a couple’s relationship is severely strained when the man (a gynecologist, no less) has an affair with an attractive patient and then has to try to rebuild the now damaged marriage.
The photos have various marginal pinholes, a few have marginal mends with archival paper on verso, each photo has an embossed censor blindstamp in the upper right (which you can only see if you hold the photo up to the light at just the right angle), overall VERY GOOD. Many of the photos have on verso the stamp of the film’s original Danish distributor, Nordisk Films.
