CASABLANCA (1942)
Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. The all-time Hollywood classic CASABLANCA (1942), the studio system producing at its best! It would win the Academy Award for Best Picture of 1943, though officially released and copyrighted in 1942; it qualified for the following year’s awards as it did not have a Los Angeles screening until Jan. 1943.
Here is a climactic scene as Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid) and Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) are about to leave Casablanca with the letter of transit secured by Rick (Humphrey Bogart). Still is coded “c-77”. The original informational attached paper blurb is on the verso. There is a one-inch (2.5 cm.) tear at the mid left border which has been repaired with archival tape on the verso. Minor creasing at the corners, more at the bottom left corner NEAR FINE.
