When Tony — the most famous and valuable horse in Hollywood history — was injured while filming Hidden Gold, Tom Mix and moviemakers decided he needed to retire and so was replaced, but not before Tony assisted in training Tony Jr. The typed and attached paper blurb tells the story. Tony would work with Tom Mix for more than 20 years. Tony Jr. would work with Mix until Mix’s untimely accidental death in 1940.
