In the 1960s, Saul Bass had limited edition silkscreens printed at the Art Krebs Studio in Los Angeles. These were meant to represent his poster designs in their purest forms, with the precise layout, lettering, and coloring that he had wanted for these posters. In every case, the studios had interfered in one way or another. Hence, these silkscreens, which were never for sale but simply printed in small quantities to be given as gifts to museums and galleries.
