[Los Angeles, ca. 1932]. Vintage original 14 x 11″ (36 x 28 cm) double weight black-and-white photo. Tiny chip in extreme blank upper left, slight diagonal creasing in bottom left, just about fine.

A portrait of Kay Francis, then at the pinnacle of success, in a typically sumptuous gown with cigarette in her left hand. It was in 1932 that Francis, who had achieved virtual overnight success at Paramount, was persuaded to move to Warner Brothers.
