Vintage original 22 x 28″ (55 x 70 cm.) half sheet poster, USA. Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Sam Jaffe, Marilyn Monroe, dir: John Huston, MGM. Paper-backed with creases at all four corners, a few small inter tears have been addressed in lower left side photo area. A long horizontal crease or tear from mid-left side to midpoint of poster has been addressed. Corner pinholes addressed. Very good-fine.

Classic film noir about a heist which, after being successfully executed, unravels with tragic consequences. Though John Huston intended the role of Angela Phinlay for Lola Albright, Marilyn Monroe won the role and it was the first in which her great dramatic abilities were explored.

Poster features Monroe prominently, thanks to agent Johnny Hyde’s work in placing her there amongst the films MGM contract players. Displays beautifully.
