BLOW-UP (1966)
BLOW-UP (1966) $250.00

Vintage original 27 x 18" (67 x 46 cm.) fotobusta poster, Italy. Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles, David Hemmings, John Castle, Jane Birkin, Verushka, dir: Michelangelo Antonioni; MGM. The story of a mod London photographer who believes he has photographed a murder.

Forever controversial and even hated by many when first released, it is Antonioni's comment on society (particularly of the time) and on human nature. The film was made by MGM in the UK under a newly-created company called Premier Productions. Because this company had no agreement with the Production Code office (as MGM did), the frontal nudity and explicit scenes...

FLY, THE [LA MOSCA] (1986)
FLY, THE [LA MOSCA] (1986) $300.00

Set of eight (8) vintage original 18 x 26" (45 x 65 cm.) fotobusta posters, Italy. Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis, John Getz, dir: David Cronenberg: Twentieth Century Fox.

The truism is that remakes of movies are inferior to the originals -- but not in this case! The original version, starring Vincent Price, is a bit of a mid-century cult classic. But clearly the Cronenberg remake is a vastly superior film.

This set of large-scale images evoke the drama and terror evoked by this movie. These were stored rolled and never folded nor used. Minor center crease and ding at center top from...

MEDEA (1969)
MEDEA (1969) $300.00

Vintage original 38 x 26 " (67 x 97 cm.) fotobusta poster, Italy. Maria Callas, dir: Pier Paolo Pasolini; Euro International. The legendary diva Maria Callas only did one film, in which she played the role of Medea (in Pasolini's interpretation of the character in Euripides). Interestingly, Callas had portrayed Medea much earlier in her career, since she performed the Cherubini opera Medea at La Scala in 1953, under the baton of a young Leonard Bernstein.

This is one of the best poster images of her in this movie. On linen, with minor touch-ups to address small tears and scuffs, FINE-.

A great vertical poster with a somber image of Karina out on the street, looking for a male patron for her services. There is one light horizontal fold, slight shelf wear at edges, NEAR FINE.
